See the Difference

Same Heat Lamp. Same Glass. Different Film.

We point a 250-watt heat lamp at two identical pieces of glass. One bare. One with our APEX Super Ceramic. The IR thermometer reads what your interior actually feels.

Bare Glass
No film. No protection. Just heat passing straight through.
165°F
Heat at the glass
With APEX Ceramic
Geoshield APEX. 96% IR rejection. Heat stops at the glass.
82°F
Heat at the glass
−83°Fdifference at the glass

This is a controlled glass-temperature reading under a 250W IR lamp — what's actually hitting your skin, dash, and steering wheel. Real-world cabin drop is typically 25–35°F depending on coverage and AC load.

Dark — the most common rear pick.

Michigan tint law: front side windows must allow at least 35% visible light transmittance. Rear sides + back glass have no VLT limit — go as dark as you want. We install legal-by-default and can talk through anything else on the call.

Don't Forget the Windshield

The Biggest Piece of Glass on Your Car. Untreated.

Your windshield is bigger than every other window combined — and it's where most of the heat and glare actually comes from. Adding ceramic to it is the single biggest comfort upgrade we sell, and you can't tell from the outside.

Near-invisible. For people who don't want a “tinted” windshield but still want the heat gone.
  • Blocks 90%+ of infrared heat — you feel the difference
  • 99% UV rejection — stops dash cracking
  • Glare reduction without darkening
  • Looks identical to OEM glass to anyone glancing in

Honest take:if you only do one upgrade, do the windshield. It's the single biggest comfort difference you'll feel — every drive, every season.

Why Tint Matters Here

Michigan Summers Cook Your Interior.

Every summer without tint ages your interior another year — and you feel it every drive.

Oven-Hot Cabin

Michigan summers push interiors to 120°F. Steering wheels burn, dashes crack, leather dries out. Untinted glass is the single biggest heat source in the car.

UV Fade + Skin Damage

Untinted side glass blocks almost no UVA. Your dash, seats, and left arm take it every commute — even in winter. Ceramic film blocks 99% at the window.

Bright 5pm Sun

M-59 westbound at sunset. Glare on the windshield, glare off the hood, glare off the vehicle in front. Quality tint kills the glare without going illegal-dark.

Summer's coming. Your interior is running out of time. Get protected now →

Quick Honest Check

Is window tint actually right for your car?

Tint isn't for every vehicle. Here's who it actually pays off for — and who should probably skip it (or just do the windshield).

✓ Yes — tint makes sense if
  • You actually drive it — daily commute, kids' sports runs, road trips
  • You park it outside at work or in the driveway
  • You want heat rejection in Michigan summers
  • You have leather seats or a black dash you don't want cracking
  • You want privacy for kids in back, gear in the trunk, or just personal comfort
✗ Probably skip if
  • The car lives in a closed garage 99% of the time
  • You're flipping it in under 90 days
  • It already has factory glass tint that's plenty dark for your taste
  • You expect 35% on the fronts to make the car look “blacked out” — it doesn't (Michigan law caps it)
  • Your real pain is rock chips on the hood or bumper — tint won't help. See STEK PPF instead →
  • You want paint gloss + hydrophobic shine — that's ceramic, not tint. See Feynlab ceramic →

Still want heat rejection without the look? Skip side tint and just do the windshield →

Three summers from now

Three Detroit summers age an interior like a decade.
Unless you stop the heat at the glass.

Untinted side glass blocks almost no UV and almost no IR. Three summers of that and the dash starts to crack, the leather hardens and fades, the plastics oxidize. Ceramic tint stops it at the window — every drive, every degree.

No tint · 3 summers

Permanent damage

Cracked dash. Faded leather. Oxidized trim.

No film, no shade. Three Michigan summers of full UV + IR through every window.

Brand-new interior

Clean dash. Soft leather. Trim still color-true.

Geoshield APEX rejects up to 96% of IR heat and 99% of UV — same Michigan summers, completely different car.

The APEX Difference

Your Legal Front Windows Block as Much Heat as Your Dark Rears.

Most ceramic films lose performance as you go lighter — a 50% VLT on your fronts blocks barely half the heat their dark rear film does. APEX's dual-layer ceramic blocks 96% of infrared heat whether you're at 5%, 35%, or 50%. So you stay legal up front, dark in back, and cold in every seat.
